Cube was tasked with relocating and modernising the Melbourne head office of multinational company, The Warranty Group (TWG). Previously located in a tired office, the company needed a larger space in a location that was more amenable in terms of public transport, cafes and services for their staff and clients. Cube was requested to undertake a test-fit analysis to assist TWG to select the most appropriate new tenancy to address their brief. The brief was to create a space that supported the various functions of the business, whilst being a comfortable working environment for staff with abundant natural light. Several layout options that satisfied the brief were provided to the client, to enable them to distil the one that would best address their needs.
The configuration of the chosen new location was long and narrow with excellent views both east and west, so the challenge for Cube was to maximise the views and maximise the amount of natural light into the space. Glazed partition walls in the meeting rooms allowed light to flow through with glazing film added for privacy. The previous fitout was dated and the client wanted the new interior fitout to align with brand values in a modern, flexible workspace. The snowflake style workstations within the open plan office provided a more organic layout, allowing for easy reconfiguration and encouraging collaboration in contrast to the previous rigid rectilinear workstations. A new dedicated waiting area with sculptural furniture enhanced the professional image of the office. The Warranty Group brand identity was integrated into the fitout, to create a cohesive design that linked the client and the workplace with a modern and current image. Cube maximised longevity with flexible workspace design and ensured value for money in every square metre of the fitout.
